Hey, Was wondering what the compression ratio is on my friend's '96 G13.

Was originally a SOHC 8v TBI, but we swapped a SOHC 16v MPFI head on the stock bottom end. Everything clears OK, despite the lack of valve reliefs in the pistons, but the margin of error did decrease a bit. The 16v pistons looked to have a slight dish in addition to the valve reliefs, while the 8v pistions were flat top, so I know the CR went up somewhat. Was wondering if anybody knew how much exactly...

Also, I'm guessing the consensus is advancing the cam timing is the best for overall power? I played with it a little bit (by jumping teeth, not exactly the most precise way to accomplish this) and noticed slightly retarded, it felt very strong up high. Advanced, it felt fairly consistent without any real strong or weak spots. With this setup though, I'd really prefer advanced cam timing, due to valve clearances and such.
