To all of you Suzuki Guru's out there...what are the differences between the Canadian 1994 1.6 SOHC 16 valve cylinder head, as compared to my 1999 1.3 SOHC 16 valve head? Are the valves the same size? Is the combustion chamber volume the same? Is port size the same? Is the camshaft/rocker system the same or interchangable? Anything else worth mentioning? Thanks in advance, and everyone have a great Christmas!

Darcy

I'd have to run out to the shop, and see, but as I recall, everything is the same except the back end of the head where the dist. goes in on the 1.6, as well as the intake ports, to accomadate the injectors on the 1.3.
The cams are different on the ends because of the dist/cam sensors.
The rest is the same.

The 94 cam has a gear pressed onto the cam that meshes with the gear on the distributor . The 99 has distributor less ignition and instead of the gear it has a notch to accept the cam sensor.

so does that mean you could use the 1.3 cam on the 1.6 head to use a distributor system still?
