Hi,

I'm driving a '92 Suzuki GTi. I manage to get hold of a G15A lower block. I'm going to do a G15A conversion. I would like to know which GTi parts can be used on the G15A block. The water pump, gasket, clutch, flywheel, crankpulley? I did a search but couldn't find any answers. Most of them are G16 conversion. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

hi super man. i would like to know the main journal and crank pin diameters for the G15 so that i check out if a honda D15 crank could be used since i cant go over 1560cc turbo in order to compete in local hillclimb

well im here having the same concerns. first, i was told that the SOHC g15a head has larger and straighter ports than the DOHC gti g13b head. i opted for the full 1500 engine because the closed deck is said to be a stronger design than the open deck of the gti. as it relates to the honda crank, if that was possible, there would be alot more after market options available in rod and piston selections.
it is my intention to do this conversion also, in the mean time i am swapping the head so i boost it.
(my car was initially carb)

all "G' series head and block are interchangeable, they are direct bolt ons AFAIK.
the SOHC G15 head bolts directly to the G13B bottom end. the GTI DOHC can also directly bolt onto the G15 and onto the regular carb G13b. as i said, all interchangeable.

id like if u could do a dyno run wt the GTI head on then a second when u change to the G15 head, not so much the HP output im interested in but the area under the curve and the torque output.

im also doing some conversions and comparisons to see how the graph looks.
