@ above

dude i think i know the basics lolz

i am asking that if u need to increase your engine rev what u would do inspite of chipping

couz when ur engine is modified to take heavy rev upto 9k or 10k what these guys do which makes the engine rev more, couz if u try to rev ur engine hard on stock it will be a piece of junk then

so i am asking the modification to make my engine rev more except of ecu .

meaning to reduce the counterweights of the crank to make it lighter or i.e to say having lesser rotational mass...so that it spins up easier, faster and able to get to higher RPMs....to balance is to make sure that all the vibrations and harshness are cancelled out as that an cause component failure @ high RPMs...

I'm wondering the same...

OK...
Yesterday I drove my friends 1.6 GTi (with GTi tranny)...
It's so fcking awesome...
In 4TH gear@20kph, with just a little clutch "dosage" you can continue to roll without any stalling or so...
(In my swift, I couldn't do that, in 3RD maybe, but 2ND would be the best [ehm... I have a GS tranny... :( {but not 4 long}])...

I'm going nuts...
I think I'm gonna do it by myselfe, no matter how much time will I need and how much will I bug other ppl... =)
Don't know will I manage to do it, but I MUST! 8)

P.S. I didn't EVER open an engine, serviced it, or did some "advanced" operations on it...
Afterall, I finnished school for computers wich has nothing to do with mechanics... :/

Uhhh, I think it's time to start googling the net for MANY and MANY and MANY useful manuals/tutorials/blablabla...

Any advice/help would be great, basic or advanced...

Cheers and wish me luck! :alien:

4 now, I will just continue to collect useful informations and things wich I'm going to need...

Besides that, maybe it would be good to start looking 4 some swift sedans 1.6 with a low mileage...

P.S. I will get GTi ported and polished head from my friend... I was thinking to put it on G16A...
Would that be a good idea or is it better to stick with "normal" one...?

thatd will be a good idea as its a 1.6L so hence it needs better flow....as that head was designed for a 1.3L not a 1.6. get some cams while yea at it

My "problem" is solved...

A friend of mine owns a 1.6 GTi and he's going to sell it in a few months...
His swift is simply awesome...
It's in great condition!
...And in the end, it's going to be MINE, ALL MINE!!! =) 8)
LoL...

Only thing I'll need to do on it is to replace bearing on a rear left wheel... LoL... :drunk:
...And maybe to replace springs on a suspension cause his swift is so stiff and a way too low... He can fck up his oil tank basically always... :?

And now, I have one question (as usual)... :-P

He has a GTi tranny on his swift.
He told me that maybe would be good thing to put on a 1.6 tranny...

Is the 1.6 tranny more durable than a GTi's...?
What about gear ratios... Will they "fit" better than a GTi's...?

For example, in 5TH gear @ 105-110 hm/h he's reving @ 3500RPM wich is too high for a regular driving conditions...
I like to step on a gas sometimes and to drive faster, but afterall, I'm buying this car to be a "every day driving car", not a racing car...

What do U all think...?
