Hi. I am in the search of cheap horsepowers on for my G16A SOHC. What is the cheapest thing to do to gain power?

I have tossed the catalyc converter and blocked the EGR system. Have also powerfilter. Some gain there, but what is a cheap great mod? For example:

*Other pistons?
*machine some of the head to get higer comp. ratio. Is this possible? How manny millimeters is possible to machine of without the original pistons hitting the valves? And is it any gain? (this is easy to do for me)
*overbore the head? What pistons?
*Lighten flywheel and underdrivepulley?
*porting the head and get a better exhaust with 4-1 header.

Please help me! I will not use any parts from the gti engine. to hard to get hold of parts for here in norway! I will mod the engine i have.

Thanks!

if u want the best way? I'd say get 75mm forged pistons from suzukiRD and slap on the GTI head with some tuning...and u're done....

Not an option to get a gti head here in norway. And the pistons is more then i can afford. Anyone have used pistons that will fit my engine without overbore and will give higher comp?? Mut how much can i machine of the head??

if you can easily machine the head you should also be able to access the books that tell you the machining limits.

shop manual doesnt have any machining limits. says to replace head if out of specs. unless you can find something in a book somewhere youre gonna have to do trial and error.

I have a few of those heads on the bench.
I can look, and make a recommendation if you want.

bro i hav done the head swap in my gti but unfortunately i lost the power which i have before swap.my car is too fast before head swap on my g15a n i was doing around 137 to 140 at 400 metres.so my question is this tht after this swap the cmpression looses to 8.5 smthing as told my mechanic.so what you think that due to low compression it is not running good or any thing else??????
and another thing that im using same ECU as well as wirring n all sensors of g15 including distributor.as im not pro in modification so i want to know that if i'll change my distributor with g13b one will there will be any change or not.im using around 1.2mm headgaskit!!!!!!!!!
