I am about to built a new engine to my mrk 1. GTi.

So I have a 100 questions :)

1. Does the g16 crank fit directly in the g13 block? Any problems with oil sump etc?

2. Any problems with the connection rods?

3. Wich pistons would be best? I am thinking to use the g13b pistons and get them lowered so the compression will be around the stock 10:1.

Sorry for my bad english :)

No, the G16 has much bigger bearings.

its rumoured the honda D15 crank will fit if you modify the crank mains to suit, in which case it would have to be machined once, nitrided, then machined again after th nitriding....can be a bit expensive

the G16 block is also a lot taller than the G13. It is not possible to run the crank unmodified with much shorter rods without the pistons hitting the counterweights.
