So I guess the real question is do I have the adpter plate made and give it one last try or do I just make the car rear wheel drive? And next question how strong are the suzuki sidekick 1.6 trans?

Which route did you choose to go? I'm still following.

Also can you offer any more info on the intake manifold. What Honda was it from. And also the rods. What part needed machining to fit?

Throttle on.....

I think I'm just going to have a new adapter plate made when I get done getting my firebird put back together. And I would say instead of trying to go cheap on rods either get the forged ones for 4-500 from or get some pauter which are almost 800. As far as in take the honda one was my big boost leak so I'm just taking a stock intake and having a big pipe like 4in or 5in welded on in place of the stock plenum. I really wabted a long runner strider one but I had no luck finding one. Thanks stephwn

Hi what did you modify to the original rods to get them to fit?
From my research it seems no modifying to the rods is necessary, but running oversize bearings and a way to drastically increase compression is needed.
