Hi,

I tried search but didn't get answer I was looking for.

So here goes.
Vitara pistons are used for Turbo motors in Suzuki as well as Hondas.
If we just bore out to 75mm, I read somewhere that it will make CR of 7.8:1 or so.
In order to increase CR, you can either skim cylinder head or the engine block.

Let's say we skim both a head and a block to bring back CR back up or even close to 10.5-11:1.

Will std cast OEM pistons will take abuse?
I know even cheap Taiwan copy can take 500+Bhp in Honda engines.

What will Vitara pistons may experience?

Does any of you did this mods to your engine?

Cheers
Atchi

To get 10- 11 to 1 compression will take alot to get of the block and head. Why not use a engine calculator and check into the honda p26 and p28 pistons. They cost about the same but are higher compression with the same extra oiling holes if you get the ebay ones. I havent used my vitaras but hopefully i will be in less then a week. Thanks Stephen

Hi Stephen,

Thanks for your reply.
So Honda pistons will be the one to use then.
I heard that you will need to mod pistons slightly to fit G13B conrods.
Hench I thought of using Viatara pistons as they will fit easy.

Cheers
