hi guys, as a place near to me do carb conversions im considderin this option. i wont to go for the r1 carb set up. does ur car stil need the ecu? as i hav the toms chip installed and woz wonderin if this chip will stil work.

I think the point (or one of the results) of changing to a carb setup is to get rid of the ECU.

The ECU in my car was just there to run the fuel pump, as it saved me doing a shutdown circuit to close pump off in case of stalling, accident, etc.

Only thing your Tom's chip may control still is the ignition timing - but who knows if this one-chip-fits-all will have the right timing for your new engine setup...
