I want to install a carb from a Swift on an engine without an ECU. Will it be possible to get it work? My problem is with all those solenoids and switches which are there. Especially the mixture solenoid - does it absolutely need to be controlled by the ECU? I believe other solenoids like idle shut-off and bowl vent can be simply disconnected without much penalty. I am not sure about choke control but I can convert it to manual. Also about the switch on the throttle - what is it for?
Other questions:
-what is the size of stock carb - barrel and venturi diameters?
-how is the secondary throttle activated - mechanical, vacuum?
-is 1.0 carb different from 1.3?
Please help me out with my problems or at least some of them.
thx
