So, off topic, but still relevant to carbs! I suck at carbs, so I need your guys help :D
1985 Suzuki GS700, quad Mikuni carbs
Vance & Hines 4-1 headers
drilled slides
Vance & Hines pod filters
accel coils
and I'm assuming the carbs were re-jetted to compensate for the pod filters

The bike ran, but ran VERY crappy. No power, hard to start, etc..
I pulled to carbs, and had them professionally rebuilt at a shop. They reset everything back to factory. Which is what I think the problem is.
My big issue is.. How the fu@# do I adjust these to get the stupid bike to start!? It's getting fuel, the float bowls are filling, etc. I know there's a screw behind the filters on the inside of the carb, and one on top of the carb, by the throttle plate. Any suggestions? I'm carb-tarded :D

I had / Have many bike and usualy if they run like crap it mean 90% time one of the coils is burnt out
take out the spark plug and see if all the coils are fireing by watching the plugs park!!
to tune the mikuni carb you need a muti vacume gage to adjust them ($40) JC Wittney
they work off a low pressure system the thottle cable is hooked up to a plate inside the carb throght
when it opens the plate the low pressure diapham ontop alows the less pressure on the spring that holds the fuel needle in the main jet to lift allowing more fuel to be drain into the center of the carb by a vetury that helps suck into the manifoild
not as complicated as I make it sound
also check to see the little rubber hose between the carb and the head are not leaking air
get the bike running spray either on them see if it rev's up ??

google tunning Mikuni carbs theres a good PDA out there on them
