I bought a 1.3 GTI for my Samurai GTI Swap. It's got some mikuni 40 sidedrafts on it now, and I want to make it a little cleaner install.

What can I do with the two ports coming off the valve cover, one is plugged and ones going to a canister/catch can. Can I run a breather on that one and cap the other and be fine?

Also it has a perma cool oil cooler setup, and was wondering if its worth keeping or taking off and just putting the filter straight on the block like stock. I plan on beating on it pretty hard in the sand/snow, but not sure if its overkill for a watercooled motor.

will post some pics and more questions when I have the motor in front of me.

if your going to remove the oil cooler setup id buy it, depending on its condition of course. pic would help
