Resently I pulled my trans and put in a g13b single cam trans. First thing I notice is the gt trans has an extra bolt up spot on the bottom of the trany. Fortunately only the transmission is unique and not the block due to a bracket on the block. Anyways that aside my first gear winds out to 50, 2nd goes to 100, and 3rd to 150. 4th and fifth really are over drive. I have 185/60/R14(new). the gearing is very low and it takes alot of fun outta the car but it would reaaaallly pull with a turbo!!! 8)

I dont see your point..i just said i put a 92 geo metro trans in. It also has a g13b block but with the single cam head. For some reason the single cam engine uses a lower geared transmission. Its so low i havent found a road long enough(yet) to go over 160km/h. My close ratio gt trans gets to the 180km/h with ease.

SPT, he meant low numerically  As for the other things, he never said what kind of metro he pulled it out of. If it was a 92 4 door sedan, then it more than likely was a G13B SOHC motor.

the geo is a 4 cyl b/c i remember seeing g13b stamped on it. yea i know my gt trans is a 4.105..it also has an aditional bolt mount location. So the one i have is look, I'm retarded 3.523. Unfortunately the gear ratios are to same in these two transmissions. does anyone know were to get a longer first gear ie.3.000 ratio?

ROFL, I just noticed this post again after one month, and I had no idea that you had said I was wrong SPT :rollin: If I'd have known that, I would have went down to the junkyard and taken a picture for you to prove you wrong
