I'm currently working on a replacement manifold that will accept Mikuni style motorcycle carbs and a DIS (distributorless ignition) system that will replace the stock ECU controlled distributor. The stock distributor dosn't have any means for mechanicla advance and the DIS will advance the timing based on RPM. I expect these to be ready by late spring or early summer. Also in the works is a GTi to Samurai distributor adapter that will allow you to run a mechanically advanced Samurai distributor (or for you GTi swap Samurai guys it will give you adiquate firewall clearance to swap in the motor without having to modify the firewall)<br><br>Thanks<br>Adam (Teamswift Webstore Webdaddy) <p></p><i></i>

I've just had twin 40 DCOE's fitted to my UK R/H drive car. The main problem withthis conversion on a R/H drive is the placement of the stock brake master cylinder.<br>If you want a pic of the installation send me an email.<br><br> <p></p><i></i>

Big Bear..use a Mk1 distributor. It can be modified mechanically to give you any curve you want. Mine has 14 degrees base timing and a total of 20 degrees avance to give me 34 degrees at 5000rpm.<br><br>As for the Samurai-GTi engine distributor adaptor...Suzisport here in Oz already has done a 90 degree adaptor for that application. <p></p><i></i>

Hi Kyle, My name is Steve, and we (Mike and I) are sammi people. We are trying to put a 1.3dohc head on a sammi block with a weber. Is there anything out there available to do this with? Will a stock sammi carb intake manifold bolt up to a dohc head? We haven't bought the head yet, but are close. Also wondering if multipurpose cams are available for the dohc head.........Thanks for pointing us in the right direction.....we have already built sammi's that really growl with big webers..........Steve <p></p><i></i>

i'll try to post some pictures tomorrow, wayne sent me some updated pics of his new cultus/gti 1.3 dohc w/ a gorgeous carb setup .. i assume he's made all the adapters himself .. & poruki does some sweet machining ! =)<br>the porsche should definately have a bit more performance soon =) <p></p><i></i>

Steve,<br><br>The cost of the manifold was like $250 USD. Make me an offer.<br><br>My engine does not have a distributor, I have an electromotive HPX ignition that works with a crank trigger wheel.<br><br>We don't have a dyno in Panama, but power should be in the 140-180HP.<br><br>Bolivar <p></p><i></i>

Hi n1tr0, I'll keep my discussion going on the forum except for financial transactions. Agreed,-lots of good info coming out here. Was talking to a guy in Ohio who I bought my gti head from, and there is one member of their gti group who is putting out.......450 horsepower! Sounds like he basically has incorporated some F1 technology into his Swift. His IS fuel injected, but he has reached the absolute top limit of fi technology for the zuk. He is now switching over to Webers.........will keep forum posted as more info is forthcoming. I am rebuilding another engine with a shaved head, port & polish, and some nice cams, I will definatly get this dynoed to see the horsepower gains.

Which Bike carbs are recommended for this convertion???
Is it best to get the carbs from a bike with high cc ratings like a Suzuki GSXR1100???
Do i have to get bigger jets even after I get them???.......

Go with 38 or 40mm carbs....some of the smaller ones can have trouble flowing enough fuel on a modified GTi engine. Or maybe that should read GTc engine...

If you can afford it, the aftermarket carbs are more easily tuned although CV carbs can still be tuned to run quite successfully. Jet changes are required, yes.

Thanks but I have one more question!!

I’ve been searching all over for bike carb’s and found allot but one problem the largest i can find are 36mm even on eBay

So my Question is do you know which Brand Bike carb is used for this conversion??
