Wow! What's up with those pistons? (as in how did that happen?)

Oh wait, didn't see where you said you were 'sacrificing' them.

He was in a hurry.

Welcome to Teamswift.net, oh new 'mystery' member.
Make sure you fill in your profile and read all the 'stickies' before you ask any questions.

You'll find lots of advice on how to work on the engines without breaking pistons

And make sure you check out some posts by one of our famous members if you need to...

...make a key

...ring your engine

...pressure wash your Sprint

You got a supply of extra pistons hanging around? :drools: :drools: :drools: :drools: :drools:

And how about your seals, upper and lower gaskets sets...you got a good source?

My sentiments too. "Welcome" to the forum, oh "new" member. BTW have you read where knuckles might be trying to do a meet around April/May. Will the 'vert be done?

up I done shot them
this car was a smoker cleaned out the EGR (not bad) as per DR phils nagging
compression was 150 all 3 but with 171,00 miles on the mill it was done the #2 piston came out like butter #1 & #3
not so luck the cylinder ridge was so bad the pistons weren't coming out and while inspecting the crank/rod juornal
I knew this little dude was done so I thought you guy( you sick "M Fr") would love some carnage and like to see GV&S bleed
and as you guys know from me posting pictures I have a few spare motors just waiting for good homes to be swapt in

Once you get the cars dialed-in (compression, leaks, bearings, alignment, brakes) swap in new rubber and glass, you've got something which should last for years!

It's that time of year again!
Image

-no major or minor breakdowns
-only fluid and filter changes this year
-one catalytic converter installed
-no brake work
-no accidents or tickets

All in all, a great year so no excuse not to shoot you our tree:

The money we saved was spent on Christmas gifts!

We had a great meet last weekend in Malibu and all attendees were able to showcase their talents.
Rumor has it one member will be installing an LSD over at our shop.

The Teamswift group should be proud of the Southwestern USA group.
Weather here is similar to Florida, Australia and New Zealand.
This year we'll have the 125th Rose Parade and it probably will be televised internationally.

Hopefully, 2014 will be smooth and pleasant, with low HC and high paychecks for all.

A very Merry Season Holiday's 'Gidday' to all and and to all the other possible times everyone is having!!!! (gotta be so politically correct these days)

I hope for those in the US and Canada it is not too cold, as for me here in Brisbane (OZ-trail-ya), today is going to be 33 degrees Celsius (over 100F) as I drive up the coastal hinterlands to become a 'feral' volunteering again at the Woodford Folk Festival for the next week (very large folk festival in Australia). :ez_smokin:

As to the cars, still have my two MK1 GTi's not much done due to a new marriage and other expenses.
