Thanks for the email Jr. I wish I could go but I am working that day :( I did sell the Metro but would still love to have gone anyways. I was supposed to be on holidays so I could have gone but they were cancelled on me. I really want to make it to one of the Stateside ones sooner or later.

There may be a suprise appearance of a swift nobody has seen yet.
should be a fun time and a few cars never before seen at a meet.

Canadian Members traveling down we have a meeting place in Bellingham, where we can cruise down as a group from.
so far me and jr and 2 other cars will be meeting there any one else who plans on coming down with us send me a pm.

Exit 254 off I5 there is a McDonald's on right right beside the freeway
Jr and I will be crossing early and will be there about 830am
we will have breakfast there and wait for anyone to meet us then head down starting 930am
Its less than an hours drive from there, but I have to make a stop at the Krispy creme's in Burlington

I now find myself in a race against time to prepare Ice Bucket with it's cruise control and ac systems for the meet.
Just one major obstacle stands between it and Tulalip...

This is the same head gasket with the tiny drain back holes that my machine shop put on Copper Top during the first engine rebuild. Here's that the top of the TBI looked like after taking it up to 57mph on the freeway...

No way it was going to survive the trip on I-5 blowing wads of smoke from that!

Wish me luck...

Alternate Location as a back up only, unless we decide to go for a cruise.

In case the mall and Casino cops dont like us I thought we should have a back up plan to move to a local county public park.
so anyone coming late and finds us not at the main spot, can head to the alternate spot I found just up the highway.

Gissberg Twin Lakes County Park off of twin lakes Ave on the west side of I5 just south of exit 206

Directions are take exit 206 off I5 go west to traffic light and turn left on 27th Ave NE behind the shopping area

turn 1st left onto Twin Lakes Ave and follow it towards the I5
it takes a turn south which will take you to the alternate location go past the mall Costco ETC
and watch for the park on your right.

Reassembly of the throttle body, intake, and head started last night. I'd be biting my fingernails up to the 4th joint in this race against time if it weren't for the oily grit under my fingernails.
25 hrs to go for me...

Great turnout! That Swiftegra is insane  Props for pulling off such a clean swap on a beautiful car that will definitely shock a tonne of people. And Paul, what is that seat I see peeking through the window of your car? Nice!

Yeah, I got there late, but after a week long ordeal, I didn't get Ice Bucket up and running until 11:30 - an hour after I guess everyone started showing up. This was Ice's test run, straight out of the carport... 100 some-odd miles up there and then back.
Pictures tomorrow...

Last year, my Dust Bucket vert missed the South Center Levitz meet by a matter of hours. It was so close to being ready to hit the road... I stopped working on it to skedaddle up the freeway so I could be there on time, and that choice has bothered me ever since. I got to show it off at the last meet though, so it's all good. This year I found myself in exactly the same situation with Ice Bucket. Lucky me... this time I made the right choice, took the time to finish putting the engine back together, and hit the road. I didn't even take the time to clean up properly and arrived covered with (and smelling like) dirty, grimy grease and reeking of sweat. I was such a mess I was actually glad I missed the late lunch... I would have had to sit away from everyone else!

Anyway, I did manage to snap a couple pictures, so as promised, here they are:

Ice bucket is the blue '93 Metro with the hood up. I bought it after the heat wave last year because it had air conditioning AND cruise control, neither of which were working for the trip yesterday.

Knuckles,
Thanks again for bringing the GT bumpers to the meet. They're exactly what I was looking for to put on Dust Bucket! :D :D :D
