It was awesome finally meeting some of the guys and putting faces to names. I wish I could have stayed longer but it's rare weather and had to go float the river and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We need to do it more often, and I need to get my paperwork together so I can come up to the great white north and see all you guys up there. Thanks again for meeting literally in my backyard and hope to see everyone soon. Oh Aaron the GTi is running better than we all thought but is still a rolling project.

Not sure if we will do another major one this year for the North West.
I wish we had had a better turnout, some of the regulars could not make it.

We did talk about a camping weekend meet much like the Geopalooza, for next year.

there are plenty of good camping spots in Washington state.

Looks like a good turn out, and good times. Maybe next year I'll have my Suzuki running for the next one...

Glad to hear you made it home, it was awesome you drove all that way to meet up with us.
and teamswift is not just about swifts we have a great bunch on Metro guys on both sites I am sure.
My Dad always taught me on a long road trip take a jug of water or coolant spare hose clamps and a roll of duct tape and electrical tape plus some tools.
even if its not your car that breaks down, you may be able to help another driver with problems.

Enjoy the horn set hope you can get your horn button fixed and now you wont sound like that tiny squeaky ricer horn we all have on our cars.

Sorry, I didn't make the Rally with my '94 Black GT. Looks like I was credited with showing up in a Red Swift?

I'd been doing some contract work in Tacoma and commuting 158 mi/ day round trip. I just couldn't bring myself to drive that stretch of road again and another 150 mi on top of it on a day off.

Hopefully I'll catch the Levitz meet next year. I had a good time at that one in '09.

-Jason

Oh, I just met a guy today who has an '89 GTi. Turns out he lives the next block over. I'll educate him about TeamSwift and all. Maybe he'll show up next year too.

Hi Guys,

Sorry I missed the meet. I have been off the site, since I went back to school and the car was in storage for over a year. I started the car up yesterday afternoon and thought about the forum again so checking out what has happened so far.

I'm graduating this year, so the Swift should be back on the road soon .

Cheers, Matt

the truck build of johnny mullet reminds me that I saw a 2dr converted into a truck running around the Sumner/Orting area last fall. He had 3 port hole windows for back window & it even had duallies on the rear.

Yes, I know this is old but this is what we used to do. I understand vthat some of us have moved on but this is what made this a cool site. As Paul "Knuckles" said before, this was a "social media" site for many of us. For others (unmentioned) it was the LNLC.

I would love to see something like this happen again. Maybe Paul and Jr., Scotty, GWhiz, Yummy and other newer members. Anyone?

I still work on Saturday, that may change by summer. I came up a few years ago and had a great time. Would like to do it again, GMF has lots of new members that might come up also.
