It never fails, lol.
The camera man was not mine anyway, it was from the hyundai crew so I´m not the one to blame.
Ok, here goes the good part:

0.5mm "Shaved" G15A bottom with 75.75mm small dish pistons (Vitara piston part nº 12100-71820-00)
Polished and 0.5 mm "shaved" G13B head with oversized valves ( EX honda D13 part nº14721-PM3-000 ) ( In D16 part nº 14711-P08-00)
MLS 1.2mm head Gasket Suzuki APV (part nº 11141-61J00)
3tech 210/340 cams (thanks Mike, they are great)
Daewoo Tico distributor with modified rotor and advance (Tico uses Suzuki 3 cilinder engine)
MSD 6A ignition and blaster ss coil
Honda CBR900RR 98 carbs with custom built intake
Lightened 4.3 K Baleno flywheel 4.3 K (9.5 pounds)
Custom build 4 puck clutch disk and custom build double diaphragm Samurai plate
Straight cut gear box, 2.8 / 2 / 1.6 / 1.2 left 5th stock for highway use and 4.11 final drive
I think I`m forgeting something but as soon as I remember I will post.

Thanks, the car is now mutating into a full drag racer, I`m making a spool for the gearbox, changing the pistons with Honda PM7 and a thicker gasket to get around 13-13.5/1 compression, removing all glass and interior to be as light as posible and buying drag slicks so I guess it will be a lot faster than it is right now, by the way the best time that day for 1/4 mile was 15.15 but I had some carb issues so it wasn`t at it best.

Hi Mike, the cams are fine, I think that maybe for the new project a more agressive profile would be better because now I`m never below 5k but when I talked to you I had different needs and the cams were perfect for them, I`ll get some more $$$$ and buy you another set of cams but these time a wild ones.

Thanks for sharing, had looked at building a g15 for a 0-1500cc class land speed record here, idea is on the backburner for a while, keen to hear what your current setup would do with carb issues sorted, my only visit to the strip in my car with stock cultus motor + quads was a 15.24 @92mph, next year I will use something more suitable than 175 Kumho Escta's :lol:
Where did you get your gears cut? are you using the 'big' g15/g16 box or the little g10/g13 box? a gap from 1.2 to 0.871 is pretty huge :lol:

Hi Dattman, the gear box was made in Argentina by www.metalurgicariera.com.ar and they are good at it. I left the 5th stock because I have to drive 35 miles to the strip and in the summer 65miles to my beach house so it was a necesity to have an overdrive gear. This car was 80% autocross and 20% drag so 5th gear was useless for me, now I pass the 1/4 mile in 4th at around 7800 so I still can live with that 5th if I get fast enough to pass in 5th then I will get a 1/1 5th. I`m using the G15 bellhousing wich is the same as the G16 one, all the other transmission parts are G13 ones.

Hi there, sorry for bringing back an old thread but I gotaa tell you how far the car has gone.

It broke several times last year so there was not much to tell until now so here we go.

The first time it broke the flywhel studs so I had to oversize them to 11mm to get a tight fit and that problem is now resolved.
The second time it broke the pressure plate, it was all twisted.
The third time the outer cv joint broke.
ther fourth time the cv axle broke.
The last time a valve broke and the valve head fell into the cilinder and broke a piston.

That was the sad part, now the good news.

I have rebuilt the engine with a few improvements.

Lightened the crank a little.
Head has been fully ported and polished and the chambers have been "grinded" so everything is now smooth inside.
Compression is now a bit higher (13.5) thanks to decked head and block (0.5mm each) and p29 pistons
No more distributor, ignition is now wasted spark thanks to megajolt ( http://www.autosportlabs.com )
I used 3 mls gaskets, took them apart and made a 3mm gasket to keep the compression within reasonable limits.

Went last weekend to the local drag races with the car untested and I had some problems with fueling and did a first run of 14.9 for a 1/4 mile, but the engine was limited to 6800 rpm because it had not enough fuel, I didn´t had bigger jets so I just set the needles 1 notch up to get more fuel in the mid range and it paid off so I could get to 7300 and my best time for the day was 14.45, I´m very happy even after the fuel failure because I´m getting closer to the 13s and I guess that with the fuel problems solved I will get there.

Sorry for the lengthy post but I had a lot to tell.
