I have exactly 20 guys now who have indicated interest in the scrapers. I will be making the purchase on NOVEMBER 1, 2003. This Saturday.

Please email me to confirm you are in. I accept Payment by payPal only. No PayPal, no scraper. Sorry. I can't afford (and won't take the risk) of being strung out for cash by non-paying people.

jeffkuzub@shaw.ca is his email and paypal id too. Best way is to contact him and confirm that you're in on the group buy. Shiping is $5 within Canada $7 to US and $7 international shiping. Onceagain contact him asap, some guys are having trouble logging into this board and don't check this forum as often as they would like to.

The group buy is over. I contacted the scraper guy this morning with final numbers. We got 24 scrapers for the 1.3 and one for the 1.6. That gets us the max discount of 40% off list price - well done boys!

I swear I will never organize another group buy in my life as this is the most amount of work i have undertaken since I finished University. SOO HARD to coordinate all these names, match them with usernames and then get email addresses and match them up with payPal payments, then connect all that to shipping addresses....phew! Glad its done!

I will be sendiong out gropu emails from now on, so no more info will be posted here.

Thanks again everybody!

hey thanks for hooking this up jeff, it sucks that it was so much effort, but at least you pulled it off w/o getting burned, a good model for anyone else who's organizing a group buy,
set the numbers out front, set a deadline, get money up front, ship parts, kudos =)
i only wish i could do the same w/ the lights from india .. they just want way too big of an order =(

As it is I still bet that there will be a couple of bugs to work out, but I hope it won't be too tricky. I have been on plenty opther forums, and we have a rare "chemistry"(?). We all generally get along and are supportive of each other. Very little trash talkin', intelligent people with intelligent things to say, and a non-elitist atmosphere. We all deserve the Kudos!

What sort of numbers do the Indian manufacturers want? Half a shipping container worth, minimum?
