Does anyone know the difference between the cam pulleys on the G13B and the pulley on the G16A? G13B pulleys seem to be much cheaper and easier to source, the cams go round at the same speed which implies that they are a similar size (unless the crank pulley is different). I'm not bothered about remaking the timing marks if necessary. I'm sure this has been asked before but I haven't found anything.

i don't think that there's any difference. i have used a single adustable cam gear for a g13b dohc on 2 mk2 turbo3 engines by changing the belt drive to the rounded tooth belt components used on the later model engines. :wink:

Thanks I'll go for it and see how it fits. I don't recall what shape the belt on mine is, its one of the last 8Vs built in 2000.
