Hi boy's and girl's,
I had a few problems with the plastic I used to print the ecu box.

The cylinder head is back.

and only about half way on the body work.

Sorry I did tell you about the ecu, it's a Speeduino v4.2 ,
it's simular to the megasquirt and uses the same tuning software, but uses a Arduino mega 2560 board for it's brain.
it's cost $200au by the time you have gotten everything for the computer, external sensors are extra.

Hello again boy's and girl's,
thx SnowFish :)
More progress has been made on the motor as I wait for parts to arrive,
I have drilled and taped the holes for the oil squirt's
Image
The SR20DET oil squirt's are bolted in place.
Image
And lastly I have relocated the oil pressure switch.

Hello boy's and girl's,
The parts i was waiting on have turnned up, but no
gaskets for the oil pump or rear main housing.
so i went to the local parts store and got some
gasket papper and cut my own.
Image

Image
This connecting rod is a splash feed style, so that is was the reason for the oil squirt's.

Lots of great progress! Your engine assembly is very clean! (Almost too clean.. as in.. camshaft thirsting for some assembly lube!) =)

:-P :-P

fe dad, is the crank sensor using that screw head as a trigger point? does that provide adequate data resolution for your engine management?

i do my crank triggers differently, mostly using a 36-1 toothed trigger wheel that gives me a data point for every 10 degrees of crank rotation, 5 degrees if i sense rising and falling edges. i also ditched v/r sensors altogether, opting for the precision and signal integrity of hall effect devices.

i can explain in detail if you are interested but won't bore you if you aren't.

Hello t3 ragtop, Yes and Yes, a 36/ -1 is preferred or optical, but i'm only using 4/ -1 and parts I have laying around,
as i'm on a time crunch :)
The car will be staying Na for a few months, not planed but has to be.

Hello again boy's and girl's,
Well things have progressed slower than expected,
after a few wiring problems, and setting isuess with
the tune, i still haven't got it to run yet.
After a few try's at starting the engine, i have only been
able to get a few back fires so far, this is a problem as
I hadn't conected the fuel injectors. So it look's like
I have to get the injectors serviced or replace them?
So that is were the car sits today.
I'll keep you posted :)

Love the build, glad you resprayed it in silver. Digging the front lip. I wish I was good at fiberglass work so I could make one. Looking forward to updates.

Hello again Boy's and Girl's,
Well the story begins with failures, starting with the blue tooth failing on the laptop,
then it was Usb cables i was using (x3), after that the arduino mega 2560 boards started to fail
one by one, this wasn't the biggest problem after the 3rd failed, i had to order more,
later that night i shut down the laptop, only to have it not turn back on at all, it die also.
I also discovered that the Usb oscilloscope had die as well.
The laptop failing was the biggest set back, as i had not backed up the tune in a week, this means that
i was back to square one and had to start again.

A week later i was able to buy a new laptop and start installing software and registration's only to find out
that i was at my limit of software install's, so i contacted the software company and explained my
issue and they fixed it up the registration for the software. In the mean time i had discovered the my
map sensor was malfunctioning so more parts had to be ordered and installed.

Yesterday i was able to start tuning again, so it will run soon.
I have installed a igniter to help with the crank signal and some new relay's and battery.
Image

Image

Thx 94 RHD Metro,
I will say give the fiber glass work ago, it's not all that hard.
It took more time getting the basic shape and then body working it for paint.
the sooner you start the sooner you will become a master in it
