I've been working on this for a while now,and should have a few good profiles available for...

Mk1 3cyl.,as well as Mk1 turbo3

1.3 SOHC 8v

1.3 SOHC 16v.

I don't have camshaft cores, and probably won't have anything ready until the new year,so I'm just throwing it out to see if there is sufficient interest.

2000 G13B 16v SOHC as wild as the stock springs will handle. How soon can I get my hands on one? What kind of warrantee will these cams have? My car won't be started up until mid April of 2004. It is in storage now.

Mike

Just an update.I posted this to gauge interest, which hasn't been great. I'll continue to work out prices etc.,and to figure out specs.I have almost 50 profiles to choose from, and not all are suitable for each motor.I expect to have answers in January, but suffice to say that prices will have to be fair, otherwise there will be no interest. The next project will be to offer cams for the later.3cyl.(there is probably more of these on the road than all others combined),and possibly the GTi.'m also working on a few other things.

There are actually over 200 profiles, but I've narrowed it down to about 50.Max lift/duration will probably be whatever people want as some of them are pretty radical.
If it looks like I'm not responding to peoples questions, its because I've been PMing each one individually,so If you have one,ask away.

Just an update.I should have cams available for 1.3 8V,and 89-up 3cyl. in about a week or so.I apologize for the wait, but the weather has been too cold to spend my days in wrecking yards, the price of scrap went up,and all the cars I was going to pilfer for cores got crushed. That means that I have been running around like a fool trying to find some decent ones.Price should be in the ~$150US range, with your exchange.

1.3 8v

.380" Lift 210 Dur.at .050"

89-up 3cyl.

.340" Lift 212 Dur.at .050"

These are nice mild street grinds, with about 14-18 deg.more duration ,and up to .050" more lift than stock.
More grinds will be available as soon as I can get cores.

GTi cams will be available with the same specs as the above 3cyl.cam,but obviously will be wilder due to the nature of the 4 valve/cyl.design.Two milder street grinds (202/322,or 198/332) are also available for the GTi.Either would be an improvement over stock.Price should be in the $250-$275US range, exchange.(GTi)

Comments?

Life expectancy will be the no different than a stock cam.Since they are sold exchange, there will be no turn around time. I ship you cams, you ship me your old ones.If you want yours done, then turn around will be about 2-3wks,or less if you want to pay for faster shipping. The main reason it took me so long is that good useable cores can be hard to find.

You won't need anything to go with the cam,and I'm not sure what you mean about the finish, but the lobes will be parco lubrited.I will work out the paypal thing, and I'll post a mailing address as soon as I'm ready to ship, hopefully in a week or so,and a little longer for GTi cams.16v SOHC,and Mk1 3cyl. cams are the only ones I can't seem to find cores for, yet.

Toward the end of the first page you will see an update.

This is what will be initially available.
89-up 3cyl.
Lift ________Dur at .050"
.340_______210
.350_______218
.375_______226*
pre-891.0/pre-95 1.3/1.6 SOHC 6/8V
Lift________Dur at .050
356________202
350________210
375________216
395________226*
GTi DOHC 16V
Lift ________Dur at .050"

340________210
375________218
375________226

If there are any questions about the cams,or about what the numbers mean, the please ask. These are mild to mid performance street/race grinds other grinds are available for different applications. If you have a special need, then please ask.I'm doing my best to make them available, but can only grind cams if I have cores, which are proving difficult, and time consuming to get.Your patience is appreciated.
The ones with the * are specials, for various reasons. Please inquire first.

For comparison purposes,stock GTi cams are .295 lift(7.5mm),and duration at .050" lift is 191 intake,and 198 exhaust.Pre 89 3cyl have 332 lift/156 duration,and pre 89 turbo 3's have 332 lift/192 duration.89-up 3cyl.(includes turbo) have 332 lift/198 duration.89-up 1.3 8V motors have 332 lift/192 duration.There are a few exceptions,as some motors,mostly the 8V 1.3's have a few different grinds,but all are very close.

I posted up some general info in the FAQ's.

Cams are now in stock for ,

89-up 1.0l 3cyl.

1.3 SOHC 8V

GTi, and 16V SOHC will be next. If anybody has something specific they want, let me know, so I don't get cams ground that nobody wants.
