Hey there, I recently noticed that on my dash my emergency brake light comes on when i make a left turn, the car itself doesnt feel like its braked or rubbing or anything but that weird light is coming on? anyone know what I should check? I have a feeling the ebrake wires are just loose in my center console and i might need to tighter them or something? Thanks in advance!

The light is coming on because the fluid is low. The fluid is low because the front pads are worn out.

Not quite. Worn brakes on either end of the car will cause the warning light to come on. Right now my brake light flickers during cornering, and I know it's my rear brakes.

Wow! You guys are amazing! I love this forum. Yea I've known that the brakes have worn down and I plan on replacing them very very soon, I'll replace the pads and fluid and post my results! Thanks again. :thumb2:

Don't be in hurry to top up your fluid. The brake fluid level drops in the master cylinder to compensate for pad wear. When you change your brake pads, the fluid level will rise again. Only top up the brake fluid AFTER you've changed your pads. Otherwise, you'll make a mess in your engine bay.

BTW, it's also a good idea to periodically flush all your old brake fluid out too.

Thanks for that info, I don't wanna mess anything up! I bought the pads yesterday for about $27, how hard are they to install? I might just have my dad do them for me heh

They're pretty easy to do:
