Hey, i own a pontiac firefly turbo and i plan on painting parts of the dashboard. Problem is, i can't take it appart, i spent almost an hour trying to figure out how to do it and all i managed to get off was the lower cover of streering wheel :( . I looked for a guide or any information on how i could do it, but i couldn't find any, so, if anyone knows anything, help would be much appreciated!

MK2 dashes are actually quite easy to remove. I think there's all of five screws holding it in place. Three are at the top of the dash, close to the windshield. Those ones are hiding under rectangular trim pieces, one in the center and two on the outer edges. For more info on dash removal read up on some of the threads about replacing the heater core:

I think it took me about 10 minutes the first time I ever took out a MK2 dash.
