This is the support thread for the Swift GTi common maintenance/troubleshooting stickie. I've locked that thread to keep clutter down. If there is a problem with any of the files, or any other comments or concerns, this is the place to direct it.

The diagnostic connector has 6 pins, you're getting confused by the empty spaces between the pins in the drawing. The service page for setting the base timing has a better pic of the diagnostic connector:

That's all of them. Enjoy! :D

I plan to add comments soon to the files as well.

Thank you very much for these.
I am having an issue with the alternator light staying on. I just got a new battery and changed the alternator and still it is draining my battery.
Any one has a suggestion, be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance Alberto

If you've just replaced the alternator, you probably have a problem with the wiring from the alternator.

Forgive me, I'm a newbe here. But I cant even click on the attachments in the previous page of this post. Is it me or is something not right? And does anybody have the 3rd page of the IAC adjustment? Page 2 says there is a step 8, I dont see it.

The site just moved to a new server today. It might take a day or 2 for everything to finish up transferring

"G13 Engine Adjustments", "Mk3 Instrument Panel Testing", "Steering Column Switches" & "Starter" pdf files are corrupted! I get a 15kbyte download for each of these. Tried downloading again & viewing with different pdf readers. No go...
